FMN Lab scientists starring at international conferences in China

7 november 2023

Alexander Baburin and Kirill Buzaverov, presenting FMN Lab nanophotonics department, took part in one of the largest and most prestigious international photonics forums, Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) and International Photonics and OptoElectronics Meetings (POEM).

Kirill Buzaverov presented a report on the topic “Scattering losses minimization in silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits for near-IR and telecom bandwidth.”

Alexander Baburin spoke on the topic “Silicon nitride high confinement thermally- and E/O tuned photonic integrated platform”.

In their reports, the young scientists presented their own technology for creating photonic integrated circuits based on silicon nitride, providing losses of less than 0.05 dB/cm at a wavelength of 1550 nm and less than 0.30 dB for a wavelength of 935 nm.
